Artificial branches for a vase, jug, or bouquet

Artificial branchesgive your vase, jug, or pot exactly the height, color, and fullness you're looking for. Use one striking branch, create a loose group with the same decorative branches, or combine different types in a rustic bouquet.

Hilgonda personally selects every branch based on color, shape, and appearance. Only rustic artificial branches that we consider lifelike and would place in our own home make it into the Hillary’sHome collection.

What length of artificial branch suits your vase?

The correct length primarily depends on the height of your vase. Use this advice as a starting point:

• Vase 20–30 cm high: artificial branches approximately 50–60 cm.
• Vase 30–40 cm high: artificial branches approximately 60–90 cm.
• Vase 40–50 cm high: artificial branches approximately 60–100 cm or longer.
• Vase taller than 50 cm: long artificial branches from approximately 70 cm.

For example, a 70 cm artificial branch fits well in a vase 30 to 40 cm high. In a large vase, the stem doesn't always have to reach all the way to the bottom.

All stems can be bent or cut shorter. Try bending a branch first to preserve its original length. Only cut it when you are sure what length you need.

How many artificial branches do you need?

An odd number of branches usually looks best. For a loose group, you can start with three or five pieces.

Use the opening of your vase as an additional guideline:

• Neck opening of approximately 10 cm: use about 5–8 stems.
• Opening of approximately 20 cm: use about 7–11 stems.
• Large jug or wide pot: choose about 5 large branches or 7 branches and more.

The number remains a guideline. Some decorative branches have multiple offshoots, leaves, or fruits and therefore fill more space than a narrower branch. For a complete artificial bouquet, the number depends on the chosen types and the opening of your vase.

Which types of artificial branches suit your style?

Use green branches as a base or choose branches with striking fruits, leaves, or other details. For example, check out our rosehip branches, moss branches, and date branches.

You can also opt for eucalyptus branches, pompom branches, or artificial branches with bells. Combine different shapes within the same color tones for a harmonious look.

Material, real touch, and maintenance

Plastic and silk are used within this collection. Some artificial branches have a real-touch finish, making them feel like a real branch. When a product has real touch, this is clearly stated with the product.

The artificial branches are intended for indoor use. Gently remove dust with a soft brush to keep the leaves, flowers, and other parts intact.
